Vietnam Prosperity Joint-Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank – Code: VPB) has just announced the appointment of Mr. Kamijo Hiroki as Deputy General Director, effective July 27th. Currently, VPBank has not provided further details on his background or work experience.

According to the website, VPBank’s Executive Board consists of 17 members, with Mr. Nguyen Duc Vinh serving as General Director. In addition, there are seven other Deputy General Directors, all of whom are Vietnamese.

Prior to this, at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, VPBank shareholders voted in favor of adding two new members to the Board of Directors: Mr. Takeshi Kimoto, Head of Asia Market Development Division at SMBC (Singapore) and SMBC (Japan), and Ms. Pham Thi Nhung, Deputy General Director and Director of Partner Management and External Relations at the bank, bringing the total number of Board members to seven.
