Italian luxury carmaker Ferrari announced on July 24 that its dealers in Europe will start accepting digital currency, following a similar move in the US.
Ferrari stated that the new payment system, including financial source verification and digital currency conversion to traditional currency, will be implemented from the end of July.
According to Ferrari, the payment system is being introduced in the European market after a successful rollout in the US nearly a year ago to better support dealers in addressing the growing demands of their clients.
Additionally, by the end of 2024, Ferrari plans to expand its digital currency payment system to other countries within its international dealer network, where digital currencies are legally permitted.
Digital currencies have had a profound impact on the global economy. As of now, they remain a popular investment tool for many individuals.
After El Salvador became the first country to recognize Bitcoin as legal tender, many nations have adopted a more open approach to this type of cryptocurrency. However, most countries worldwide still maintain a cautious and balanced stance.
