On August 1st, the VinFast VF 3 electric car model was officially delivered to customers at an event held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Today’s deliveries were for those who had made the first reservations.
Never Used an Electric Car Before but Still “Chose” VF 3
Mr. Nguyen Van Lo (64 years old) from Nam Dinh, one of the first customers to receive the VF 3, shared that he felt a bit excited to get this new electric car.
Mr. Lo mentioned that his two children discussed and decided to buy this car for him. Being retired, he only wanted a small, easy-to-maneuver car that could protect him from the rain and sun, while also ensuring his health and safety. With a distance of just about 10 km to travel to his hometown, the VF 3 electric mini car fully met his needs.
Notably, Mr. Lo is the first person in his family to own an electric car. However, he has complete faith in the quality of the VinFast VF 3.
It is known that Mr. Lo chose to lease the battery, and the charging station is only about 2 kilometers away from his house, so he doesn’t have to worry about finding a place to charge the battery.
Don’t Want to Go Back to Using Gasoline Cars
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Binh (Hai Duong) shared that she felt “honored” to be one of the first customers to receive the VinFast VF 3 (vehicle number 003). She chose the battery lease option and a bright yellow paint color for her car.
It is known that both Ms. Binh and her husband are using VinFast cars, the VF e34 and Lux models. “As soon as the company launched the new VF 3, I wanted to own it because of its compact design, convenience for the whole family to travel in the city, easy parking and turning, affordable price, and necessary features,” Ms. Binh shared.
Previously, Ms. Binh had used a gasoline car from Suzuki, which she quite liked because of its compact size and fast refueling. However, since using an electric car, she has found it more convenient, as she can use the charging time to study, read books, or drink coffee.
In addition, the charging cost is more economical than gasoline. Especially, with VinFast currently offering free charging, she didn’t hesitate to quickly choose the VF 3 electric mini car.
“I’ve been using an electric car since 2022, and I was one of the first people to buy the VinFast VF e34. As a Vietnamese, I support Vietnamese products, so I hope that VinFast cars will receive more support from domestic consumers,” Ms. Binh said.
In addition to Mr. Lo and Ms. Binh, many other users have also shared their experiences with the VF 3 on social media platforms. Mr. Pham Minh (Hanoi) gave a high evaluation of the car, stating that it has good stability, with no swaying when changing lanes abruptly at 70 km/h, giving a distinct feeling of firmness and sturdiness.
The interior and exterior finishes are relatively well-done, with no misalignments or rattles. While the interior materials are hard plastic, they look sleek, and the exterior paint is beautiful, with a smooth and slightly matte finish. Mr. Minh’s favorite feature of this car is its extremely small turning radius, allowing him to turn around on any street.
Additionally, the large screen is easy to operate, and the manually controlled air conditioning is very effective at cooling the cabin. The high roof creates a spacious feeling, and the rear seats are comfortable and not cramped. However, Mr. Minh noted that the car only has rear sensors and no reverse camera. The manually adjustable mirrors are also something he is considering.
Currently, the car’s selling price is VND 240 million if leasing the battery and VND 322 million with the battery included. The battery leasing fee is VND 900,000 per month for distances under 1,500 km, VND 1.2 million for 1,500 km to 2,500 km, and VND 2 million per month for distances over 2,500 km.
