On August 2, the Ministry of Public Security announced that the Ministry’s Investigation Police Agency had issued an indictment and arrest warrant for Mr. Dinh Minh Hiep, former Director of the High-Tech Agriculture Management Board and current Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City. He is being investigated for “Violation of bidding regulations, resulting in serious consequences,” as stated in Clause 3, Article 222 of the Criminal Code.

The Investigation Police Agency also issued an indictment against Mr. Nguyen Chi Than, Director of Van Phat Company, for the same offense, “Violation of bidding regulations, resulting in serious consequences.” He is subject to a residential restriction order during the investigation.

These legal proceedings follow an expanded criminal investigation into “Violation of bidding regulations, resulting in serious consequences, and Abuse of position and power while performing official duties.” The investigation involves the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Research and Development of High-Tech Parks, TST Technology Services Trading Company Ltd., the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Planning and Investment, and related units.

The Ministry’s Investigation Police Agency is diligently pursuing a comprehensive investigation, expanding the scope, and applying legal measures to recover state assets.
