Samsung Electronics, the Official Smartphone Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, together with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), recently launched a new digital community for everyone, including Olympic and Paralympic fans, called “Together for Tomorrow – Enabling People,” in Paris.
The event, held at SPOT24, a multi-purpose exhibition space in Paris dedicated to Paris 2024, was attended by IOC President Thomas Bach, IOC’s Executive Director of Television and Marketing Services Anne-Sophie Voumard, International Paralympic Committee (IPC) President Andrew Parsons, President and Head of Global Marketing at Samsung Electronics YH Lee, President of Samsung Electronics Europe Il-kyung Sung, former French handball player and gold medalist Luc Abalo, and talented visual artist and participant in the Olympic Artists program organized by the Paris 2024 Olympic Museum.
Former South Korean volleyball player Yeon Koung Kim, British skateboarder Andy Macdonald, Australian Paralympic athlete Madison de Rozario, and British content creator and inspiring science teacher Matt Green will join as global ambassadors and actively share content for “Together for Tomorrow – Enabling People” through social media.

The “Together for Tomorrow – Enabling People” project, developed by Samsung and the IOC, aims to engage Olympic and Paralympic fans worldwide and actively involve them in the Olympic Movement. The program primarily focuses on young people, with the new community stemming from the goal of helping young people “solve, move, and create in the spirit of Olympic values.”
“Together for Tomorrow – Enabling People” introduces three new initiatives targeting the community. ‘Solve Challenge’ integrates sports and the Olympics with Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow program, a social initiative focusing on teenagers, empowering young people to design creative solutions using sports and technology to address challenges, aligning with the IOC’s Olympism365 priorities.
“Move Challenge” encourages global Olympic fans to move and walk more with Samsung’s smart mobile devices. “Create Challenge” allows participants to be creative through the community of digital artists using Samsung’s smart devices and S Pen.
At the event, the top 10 teams from Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow program were announced as ambassadors for the “Together for Tomorrow – Enabling People” project.
Throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, the ambassadors will present the solutions they have created to address social challenges and strive to engage Olympic fans worldwide. They will also collaborate with the IOC Young Leaders and various IOC-driven initiatives to address solutions, including promoting sustainable development.
At the “Together for Tomorrow – Enabling People” launch event, the ambassadors shared their projects within the Solve for Tomorrow framework designed to address practical issues with creative solutions. Many solutions were presented, from helping people with visual impairments to new ways of promoting worker safety.
“Samsung Solve for Tomorrow empowers high school students with the courage to change the world,” said Ngan Huu Kim Le, a member of the US team, which developed an environmental cleaning solution based on insect research. “It is an honor for us to be part of this initiative and have the opportunity to present our solution to help build a brighter future for our planet at Paris 2024, together with world-renowned athletes.”

“I am very impressed by the opportunities that ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ has provided to hundreds of thousands of young people to grow into future leaders,” said IOC President Thomas Bach. “They will be the innovators of tomorrow, and I look forward to seeing them tackle the various challenges our world is facing. We are delighted to partner with Global Partner Samsung to continue our collaboration to identify and support talented young people at the intersection of sports and technology through the ‘Together for Tomorrow – Enabling People’ initiative.”
“This project creates a program for young people to directly engage and experience Olympic values—a fantastic outcome from our long-standing collaboration with the IOC,” said YH Lee, President and Head of Global Marketing at Samsung Electronics. “We will continue to support young people in taking on bold and meaningful challenges to strive for a brighter future.”
In Vietnam, Nguyen Hoang Dung, representing the Mindful Medical Brand team from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School, who won first place in the 2023 Solve for Tomorrow competition, was selected as one of the 10 ambassadors for the “Together for Tomorrow – Enabling People” project.
Nguyen Hoang Dung and the Mindful Medical Brand team created the “MedIQ – Smart Medical Box with IoT Platform and Management Software,” providing a proactive healthcare solution. Their project allows for the measurement of multiple health indicators (body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and SPO2) on a single device, ensuring measurement speed and accuracy and automatically storing real-time results. It then generates comprehensive health reports categorized by demographic groups.
Having a Vietnamese representative from Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow program selected to stand alongside global youth ambassadors for the “Together for Tomorrow – Enabling People” project is a testament to the talent, creativity, and social responsibility of Vietnam’s young generation.
At the same time, it demonstrates the effectiveness of nurturing and developing tech talent through Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow competition.

First held in Vietnam in 2019, Solve for Tomorrow has become an annual creative thinking playground for students aged 12 to 18.
The program not only provides a creative platform for students to apply scientific knowledge in practical situations but also supports them in finding tech solutions to specific social issues, thereby developing their skills and fostering their social responsibility.
As of 2023, after five years of organization, the program has attracted more than 300,000 student and teacher registrations and received nearly 5,200 submissions.
Many projects from the competition have been implemented in real life. Notably, the “Application of Scientific Knowledge and Plant Characteristics in Creating Safe and Healthy Beverages” solution by Phuoc Hiep Secondary School in Mo Cay Nam, Ben Tre – the 2019 Solve for Tomorrow winner – was included in the provincial educational materials for 6th graders by the Ben Tre Provincial Department of Education and Training to spread innovation and entrepreneurship.
The “Smart Library Management System” model by Le Quy Don High School in Da Nang, the 2022 Solve for Tomorrow winner, has been adopted by Hope School in Da Nang…
In 2024, with the desire to popularize STEM knowledge, Samsung launched the “Solve for Tomorrow Bus Trip” for the first time, covering over 8,000 km to directly reach schools in the three regions. This activity brought STEM knowledge to over 10,000 students nationwide and provided them with hands-on technology and science experiments right at their schools where the Solve for Tomorrow bus stopped.
The preliminary round of the 2024 Solve for Tomorrow competition has just concluded, receiving nearly 2,300 entries, the highest number since the competition’s inception. The top 40 projects have been selected to move on to the product development round. The final round of Solve for Tomorrow 2024 is expected to take place in October 2024.
