Timely and proper disclosure of information on the stock market is the basic responsibility of public companies to their shareholders and investors. This is also the first criterion in the annual IR Awards program, jointly organized by Vietstock and the Electronic Finance and Life Magazine, to honor listed companies with the best IR practices.
Notable penalties for disclosure violations in July 2024
In the past month (July 2024), the State Securities Commission (SSC) imposed penalties on Vietnam Electrical Engineering Corporation (HOSE: VNE), Tien Giang Packaging Joint Stock Company (UPCoM: BTG), Prosperous and Development Commercial Joint Stock Bank (UPCoM: PGB), and Aviation Printing Joint Stock Company (UPCoM: IHK) for disclosing information beyond the time frame prescribed by law. In addition, PGB was also fined for incomplete disclosure of information as required by law.
The SSC also sanctioned Ladophar Joint Stock Company (HNX: LDP) for failing to disclose information that must be disclosed as required by law.
