Apple has just released the first Developer Beta for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15.1… While most of the attention has been on the first appearance of Apple Intelligence features, it seems Apple has inadvertently revealed its entire upcoming lineup of devices, according to iMore .
In some code found in the iOS 18 beta by Aaron from MacRumors , we can see information about four iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 series models.
While it doesn’t reveal anything about the specific devices, leaks over time have given us some idea of what to expect from the upcoming iPhone 16 series, which is said to feature a redesigned look with dual vertical cameras on a square bump.
Rumors suggest that the iPhone 16 will sport a transformed design with two vertically aligned cameras sitting on a square-shaped bump. This setup is believed to enable Apple to introduce spatial video recording capabilities to the iPhone 16.
As for the iPhone 17, there’s even talk of a variant named ‘Slim’. This iPhone is rumored to feature groundbreaking design changes, similar to the ones introduced by the iPhone X back in 2017.
According to MacRumors, the iPhone 17 Slim will have its main camera system centered instead of in the top left corner, and the Dynamic Island will be redesigned to be more compact, increasing the display area on the front.
In addition to these upcoming iPhones, the code discovered by Aaron also hints at a range of new iPads and Macs. According to the code, four new iPad models and eight unreleased Macs are on the way.
The model numbers suggest that six of the unreleased Macs will feature the M4 chipset in some variations, while the remaining two will likely integrate the next-generation chipset (possibly M5). All the iPads, too, are expected to be powered by the M5 chipset.
Of course, things could change by the time Apple officially launches these products, or “Apple” may use different model numbers for devices with the same chipset.
