All-New Suzuki XL7 Hybrid to Launch in Vietnam on August 20
Suzuki Vietnam has teased the arrival of the all-new XL7 Hybrid on its website. According to a representative from the automaker, the XL7 Hybrid will be launched on August 20 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The current Suzuki XL7, which is imported from Indonesia, is a popular choice among Vietnamese customers. The hybrid version is expected to be sourced from the same market, offering three trim levels: Zeta, Beta, and Alpha, with the option of a manual or automatic transmission.
Dealers Reveal Features of the Upcoming XL7 Hybrid
Since June 2024, Suzuki dealers have been taking orders for the XL7 Hybrid, with an expected launch in August. The price is expected to be higher than the current model, starting at over VND 600 million. This suggests that the XL7 Hybrid will come with significant upgrades, not just a new engine.
The exterior of the XL7 Hybrid will feature chrome accents on the front grille and rearview mirrors, along with a new two-tone color option. The two-tone option will include a black roof and mirrors, while the chrome accents and wheels will remain bright.
The XL7 Hybrid is also expected to come with additional features such as cruise control, automatic headlights, and power-folding mirrors. Cruise control, in particular, has been a highly requested feature by XL7 owners.
What’s New in the Suzuki XL7 Hybrid?
As the name suggests, the biggest change in the XL7 Hybrid is its powertrain. It combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery.
The hybrid system enables the XL7 to automatically stop and start the engine, and the electric motor provides better acceleration compared to a traditional gasoline engine. However, the electric motor does not allow the XL7 Hybrid to run purely on electric power.
Based on the Indonesian market, the XL7 Hybrid is expected to retain the same exterior design as the gasoline-powered model, with the addition of a two-tone color option for a sportier look. The two-tone option includes black accents on the mirrors, roof, grille, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The XL7 Hybrid will also feature LED headlights and taillights.
The interior of the XL7 Hybrid will feature a dark woodgrain pattern on the dashboard, along with LCD displays on the rearview mirrors that show the feed from the rear camera. Other notable features include a cruise control system and a unique light guide function.
The Suzuki XL7 Hybrid is a versatile and stylish choice for families and businesses alike.
