PepsiCo Foods Vietnam, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, has broken ground on a new food manufacturing facility in the expanded Dong Van I Industrial Park in Duy Tien Town, Ha Nam Province.
Spanning an area of 8 hectares, the project entails an investment of nearly $90 million from PepsiCo Vietnam. The factory is slated to begin operations in July 2025 and will produce over 20,000 tons of snacks annually.
PepsiCo Vietnam also intends to expand its raw material sources in Ha Nam and other northern provinces by adopting regenerative agriculture and digital technology.
The new PepsiCo facility will harness renewable energy, featuring a rooftop solar panel system and a biomass setup that utilizes local agricultural waste for power generation. This significantly reduces the factory’s carbon emissions and environmental impact.

Just last July, in 2023, Suntory PepsiCo received an investment license for a beverage production facility in the Huu Thanh Industrial Park, Duc Hoa District, Long An Province. This project covers an area of 200,000 square meters and entails a total investment of $185 million, with an expected completion date in the first quarter of 2026.

According to a report on Vietnam’s non-alcoholic beverage market published by Vietdata in 2022, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam’s revenue showed a continuous upward trend from 2020 to 2022.
In 2020, the company’s revenue exceeded VND 17,200 billion, a slight increase of 1% in 2021, followed by a more significant jump of 36.3% in 2022, reaching over VND 23,700 billion. After-tax profit in 2022 surpassed VND 3,000 billion.
Meanwhile, according to a report by Suntory Beverage & Food, the company’s beverage revenue from the Vietnamese market in 2023 was JPY 143.4 billion (approximately VND 24,305 billion, based on the 2023 exchange rate in the report). Beverage revenue from Vietnam was the highest in the Asia-Pacific region, 1.6 times higher than that from Thailand.
Ha Nam is the second smallest province in Vietnam, covering an area of 861 square kilometers, second only to Bac Ninh, which has an area of 823 square kilometers. As of the end of 2023, Ha Nam’s population was 886,000 people.
