On July 6, Sabeco launched its new beer, 333 Pilsner, introducing European cold brewing technology and high-quality imported ingredients, with the promise of delivering a “smoother and more unique experience” to Vietnamese consumers.

333 Pilsner is the first new product under the well-known 333 brand, one of the first beer brands in Vietnam. Its launch demonstrates Sabeco’s commitment to creating premium products that meet the evolving demands of Vietnamese consumers.

Since 2017, when Sabeco came under the ownership of ThaiBev, the company has undergone significant changes. While revenue and profit have mostly increased year over year, they have also faced challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, Decree 100 on alcohol restrictions since 2020, and the global economic crisis impacting raw material prices and consumer habits.

However, Sabeco’s performance in 2024 has been promising. Despite a slight revenue decline in Q2 2024, strict cost control measures led to the highest profit in the last seven quarters, with a net profit of nearly VND 1,250 billion. In the first six months of the year, the company recorded almost VND 15,270 billion in revenue and a net profit of nearly VND 2,246 billion, a 5% and 6% increase year-on-year, respectively. They have achieved 44% of their annual revenue target and 52% of their profit goal.

According to Vietcap Securities Company, the gross profit margin for the beer segment decreased in the first half of the year due to higher raw material costs. However, the progress toward annual targets remains within expectations, and no significant risks are anticipated in the coming period.

Sabeco attributes the launch of new products like 333 Pilsner to maintaining their growth momentum. These innovations not only aim to meet consumers’ high expectations but also reinforce the company’s commitment to excellence. Lester Tan, CEO of Sabeco, stated that the new beer launch solidifies their position as one of Vietnam’s largest beer producers.

“Sabeco will continue to supply the market with high-quality products, employing the most advanced production technology and adhering to business ethics. In doing so, we aim to reflect our unwavering commitment to sustainable development” – Lester Tan, CEO.
