The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have just announced the retail fuel prices for the period starting from 3:00 pm on August 8, 2024.

Accordingly, the price of RON 92 gasoline was decreased by VND 900 per liter to VND 20,710 per liter, while the price of RON 95 gasoline was reduced by VND 930 per liter to VND 21,670 per liter. Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 15 times.

Similarly, the price of diesel oil was lowered by VND 730 per liter to VND 19,140 per liter, and the price of kerosene decreased by VND 680 per liter to VND 19,410 per liter. The price of mazut was also adjusted to VND 16,020 per kg.

In this adjustment, the Ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance did not use the Price Stabilization Fund for gasoline and oil products.

In the previous adjustment (on August 1, 2024), the price of RON 92 gasoline decreased by VND 290 per liter to VND 21,610 per liter, while the price of RON 95 gasoline was reduced by VND 280 per liter to VND 22,600 per liter. The price of diesel oil also went down by VND 320 per liter to VND 19,870 per liter.

This nationality has to buy gasoline that is nearly 7 times more expensive than Vietnam, with the highest price of 160,000 dong per liter.

Starting from March 1st, the price of gasoline in Cuba has officially increased by 500%, making it the country with the highest gasoline prices in the world.
