The Party disciplinary measure of expulsion has been imposed on Mr. Truong Thanh Phong, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and former General Director of the Southern Food Corporation. The violations include: acts that Party members are prohibited from doing; leadership, management, and direction of the Corporation’s activities; and responsibility for irregularities in the management and use of the land lot located at 132 Ben Van Don, Ward 6, District 4.

The Inspection Commission of the City Party Committee also imposed the disciplinary measure of expulsion on Mr. Nguyen Hong Phu, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Director, and former Chairman of the Members’ Council of Phu Rieng Rubber One-Member Limited Liability Company. He was also a former member of the Party Executive Committee of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group and former Deputy General Director of the Group. The violations include: leadership, management, and direction of the Company, for which he was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Court for “Deliberately violating the State’s regulations on economic management, causing serious consequences.”
The Inspection Commission of the City Party Committee imposed the disciplinary measure of expulsion on Mr. Nguyen Quang Thong, former member of the Party Committee of the Central Youth Union, former Secretary of the Party Committee of the Southern Office of the Central Youth Union, and former Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien newspaper. The violations include: acts that Party members are prohibited from doing; leadership, direction, management, and allowing waste and state asset loss related to the land lot at 151 – 155 Ben Van Don, Ward 6, District 4.
The Inspection Commission of the City Party Committee imposed the disciplinary measure of expulsion on Mr. Do Cao Dai, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and former Deputy Director of the Vietnam Bank for Investment and Development – Western Saigon Branch. The violations include: acts that Party members are prohibited from doing; and banking activities in loan application appraisal and approval, resulting in losses for the Vietnam Bank for Investment and Development – Western Saigon Branch.
Additionally, the Inspection Commission of the City Party Committee proposed that the authorized party organization consider and impose disciplinary measures on Mr. Le Duy Minh, a member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance. He was also the former Secretary of the Party Committee and former Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department. The violations include: acts that Party members are prohibited from doing; and abuse of position and power to accept bribes.
Recommending Party Discipline for Former Chairman of Phu Yen Provincial People’s Committee
On February 2, the Provincial Party Committee of Phu Yen held a meeting and proposed the competent authorities to consider disciplinary actions against Mr. Pham Dinh Cu, former Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Phu Yen, and decided to implement disciplinary measures by expelling Mr. Do Duy Vinh, former Director of the Provincial Department of Finance of Phu Yen from the Party.
