The airline has shared that the new aircraft, expected to be delivered from August 2024, will mostly comprise the latest Airbus A321neo ACF planes. In 2019, Vietjet was also the first airline globally to operate the A321neo ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex) aircraft.

The A321neo ACF features an improved cabin design, ensuring standards for seat dimensions and spacing, thereby offering an enhanced flying experience for passengers. These aircraft also help minimize fuel consumption by at least 16%, reduce noise by up to 75%, and lower emissions by 50%.

Recently, Vietjet signed a contract to purchase 20 new-generation A330neo wide-body aircraft (A330-900) from Airbus, valued at US$7.4 billion. People and tourists will soon be able to fly on Vietjet’s new A330neo planes on longer routes, enjoying safety, comfort, and modernity.

Vietjet operates a fleet of over 100 aircraft, including advanced and modern planes such as the A320, A321ceo, A321neo – A321neo ACF, and A330, which are environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient. The airline aims to achieve a net-zero carbon emission target by 2050. Vietjet has carried 200 million passengers, including millions who flew for the first time.

In the first half of 2024, Vietjet transported 13.1 million passengers and operated 70,154 safe flights. The airline recorded consolidated revenue of VND 34,016 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 1,311 billion in the same period, up 15% and 433%, respectively, compared to the previous year, surpassing the yearly plan by 21%. Vietjet contributed VND 3,687 billion in direct and indirect taxes and fees to the state budget in the first six months of 2024.

With the addition of 10 new aircraft by the end of 2024, Vietjet will continue to expand its network in Vietnam and internationally, with new destinations in Australia, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, and beyond. This expansion meets the needs of locals and tourists, providing joyful and happy flying experiences with a dedicated and professional crew. Vietjet’s safe flights connect nations, peoples, and continents, fostering economic development and cultural and tourism exchanges.
