Mitsubishi dealers in Vietnam have shared exciting news: the Japanese automaker is soon to introduce the new Mitsubishi Triton to the market. According to a dealer source, the vehicle is expected to launch in late September and arrive at dealerships in early October. However, Mitsubishi Vietnam has not yet confirmed this information.
Additionally, some dealerships have started accepting “symbolic” deposits from interested customers. A sales consultant explained that this means customers who wish to place a deposit to receive the vehicle earlier can do so, but they should be aware that no information about the car, including the available versions and pricing, has been released yet. This consultant also mentioned that only a few customers have made deposits so far.
Previously, the new Mitsubishi Triton was repeatedly spotted in Hanoi during emission testing and transportation. Based on those images, it is predicted that the 2024 Triton will offer at least three versions.
The top-of-the-line Athlete version will feature an exclusive orange color option with black gloss accents on the wheel arches and alloy wheels. The other two versions can be distinguished by their distinct wheel designs.
In terms of performance, the Mitsubishi Triton 2024 in Vietnam is likely to be similar to those in other Southeast Asian markets. Specifically, it will be powered by a 2.4L diesel engine producing 184 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. The Triton 2024 in Vietnam will be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and there is a possibility of a manual transmission option as well. As usual, the vehicle will offer rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
Moreover, the Triton 2024 in Thailand offers an additional turbocharged engine option with 204 horsepower, but it is unclear if this will be available in the Vietnamese market.
