The Security Investigation Agency under the Ministry of Public Security has recently sent an official request to the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) for information and documents related to wind and solar power plants nationwide, including four wind power plants in Gia Lai province.

According to Official Dispatch No. 2240/YC-ANDT-P3, the Security Investigation Agency requested EVN to provide dossiers and documents of 32 wind and solar power plants across the country.

Among these, there are four wind power plants located in Gia Lai, namely Hung Hai Wind Power Plant in Kong Chro district, Cuu An Wind Power Plant in An Khe town, Ia Le 1 Wind Power Plant in Chu Puh district, and Ia Bang 1 Wind Power Plant in Chu Prong district.

This move is part of an investigation into a case of “Abusing position and power while performing official duties” that occurred at the Ministry of Industry and Trade and several provinces and cities.

To facilitate the investigation process, the Security Investigation Agency requested EVN to provide comprehensive dossiers related to negotiations and signing of power purchase agreements, as well as inspections, acceptance, and recognition of the commercial operation date.

In addition, dossiers on periodic and unscheduled inspections of the electricity metering system and actual installed capacity at the power plants were also requested to be submitted.
