Toyota Corolla Altis: Dealer Discounts and What to Expect

A Hanoi-based dealer offers a significant discount of up to 80 million VND on the 2023 VIN Corolla Altis V in white, bringing the driving cost down to the listed price of 773 million VND. Meanwhile, a dealer in the northern region offers a slightly lower discount, bringing the car price down to 703 million VND, with an estimated driving cost of 795 million VND.

Consequently, the discounted price of the Toyota Corolla Altis V is now lower than the standard version of the Honda Civic (730 million VND). However, due to their initially high pricing within the segment, the discounted Altis is now comparable to higher-end models of competitors such as the Mazda3 (639-739 million VND) and Kia K3 (549-714 million VND).

For those seeking a 2024 model year vehicle, the discounts are less significant. Aside from complimentary accessories, some dealerships offer only a slight reduction of a few million VND. For instance, a dealer in Danang offers a price of 719 million VND, a mere 6 million VND discount from the listed price of 725 million VND.

According to a sales consultant, the reason for the minimal discounts on the Toyota Corolla Altis is due to the model’s scarcity in the market. This is surprising, given that in the first half of 2024, the Corolla Altis sold only 208 units, ranking last in its segment. If the consultant’s information is accurate, the limited stock on hand may have impacted the sales performance of the Corolla Altis.

What Does the Toyota Corolla Altis Offer?

The Toyota Corolla Altis currently sold in Vietnam is a mildly updated model introduced in late 2023. In contrast, the Toyota Corolla Altis that is subject to the significant discounts mentioned above belongs to the previous form or older model. The two versions can be distinguished by their grille designs, with the older model featuring horizontal slats and the newer one sporting a honeycomb mesh pattern. The wheel designs also differ, although the size remains the same, and the exterior equipment remains similar between the two versions.

In the cabin, the new Toyota Corolla Altis features a 12.3-inch screen behind the steering wheel, replacing the 7-inch combination analog unit. Other convenience features remain similar between the two models.

The most notable change in the new cabin is the fully digital speedometer cluster, measuring 12.3 inches—the largest in its segment.

One advantage of the 2023-2024 Toyota Corolla Altis over the 2022-2023 model is its enhanced safety technology. The 1.8 HEV version now includes a 360-degree camera, while the V version gains a blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic power-folding side mirrors when reversing. Additionally, other safety features, including the Toyota Safety Sense package, remain unchanged from the previous model.
