In the afternoon of August 12, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province, received and worked with Johnson Group from Taiwan (China). Accordingly, Mr. Jason Lo, CEO of Johnson Group, provided information on the group’s production and business activities.
Representing Johnson, Mr. Jason Lo expressed their desire for support and facilitation from Bac Ninh province to establish a second factory in Thuan Thanh I Industrial Park, covering an area of 20 hectares with a total investment of USD 100 million. The construction of this factory is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2025 and be completed and operational by 2026. The factory is projected to employ 2,000–3,000 workers and generate a revenue of approximately USD 120 million per year.
The group aims to establish a comprehensive production and assembly base for sports equipment, intending to make it the largest of its kind in the world. Specifically, after the completion of the second factory, facilities from China, Taiwan (China), and other countries will be shifted to this new factory in Vietnam.
During this meeting, the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province informed that since the beginning of the year, the province has attracted USD 3.2 billion in foreign investment, ranking first in the country. According to the plan, on September 7–8, the province will organize a conference to announce the master plan for the period of 2021–2030, with a vision towards 2050, and promote investment and inaugurate several key projects.

Additionally, the Chairman assigned the management board of the province’s industrial parks to be the focal point for further investment procedures with the Johnson Group, offering support and addressing any challenges to ensure the timely issuance of the investment registration certificate.
The provincial leadership also requested the Johnson Group to provide a detailed layout plan to optimize land use as per requirements.
Thuan Thanh I Industrial Park has a total investment of nearly VND 2,850 billion on an area of nearly 250 hectares. The park is built adjacent to National Highway 38 and Ring Road 4, connecting to the Hanoi capital region and offering convenient transportation connections. The project is located in Ninh Xa, Tram Lo, and Nghia Dao wards, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province.
The investor of Thuan Thanh I Industrial Park is Viglacera Corporation, a prominent investor in various other industrial park projects, including Tien Son, Yen Phong, and Dong Van IV.

Johnson Group is currently one of the world’s most renowned manufacturers of high-quality sports equipment. The group operates six factories in the USA, China, Taiwan (China), Japan, and Thuan Thanh II Industrial Park (Bac Ninh province), Vietnam.
In Vietnam, Johnson Group is not a new name. Since 2019, the group has invested in a project in Thuan Thanh II Industrial Park, covering an area of 10 hectares with a total investment of USD 50 million. This project generates a revenue of USD 60 million per year and specializes in producing home fitness equipment for Horizon Fitness and Matrix Fitness brands, both belonging to the Johnson Group.
