BMW dealers in Hanoi and Central Vietnam have started taking orders for the highly anticipated M3 and M4 performance models, according to sales consultants. This information has not been confirmed by BMW Vietnam.
The BMW M3 is reportedly priced from VND 4.999 billion, while the BMW M4 starts at VND 5.599 billion. Sales staff shared that interested customers can opt for additional exclusive options.
The list of options ranges from wheel designs, paint colors, materials, and interior colors to upgrades on steering and braking systems. The prices of these options vary, with some costing tens of millions of VND and others reaching hundreds of millions. The most expensive paint option is priced at VND 320 million, while the premium interior package costs VND 165 million. The M Carbon exterior package is VND 310 million, and the M Carbon bucket seats are VND 325 million. The most costly option is the M Carbon Ceramic brakes, which come with a price tag of VND 650 million.
Notably, the M Race Track Package, designed for racing enthusiasts, adds VND 1.1 billion to the vehicle’s price. This package includes an increased top speed of 290 km/h (up from 250 km/h), carbon ceramic brakes, carbon racing seats, and more.
According to the sales consultants, the waiting time from placing an order to taking delivery of the vehicle is approximately one year. After an order is placed, it takes about 4-5 months for the car to enter production. This production phase accounts for the majority of the waiting period, along with the time required for export, import, and customs clearance procedures before the car reaches the customer.
The BMW M3 and M4 are high-performance variants of the 3-Series sedan and 4-Series coupe, respectively, developed by the BMW M division. According to official BMW dealers, the M3 and M4 models in Vietnam will be the Competition M xDrive versions, which are more premium.
Both vehicles are powered by a 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, codenamed S58, producing 530 horsepower. They are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. This output is an increase of 20 horsepower over the standard Competition model and 70 horsepower over the base model. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time for both the M3 and M4 is an impressive 3.5 seconds.
In the Vietnamese market, the direct competitors for these two performance cars are the Mercedes-AMG C 63, as well as other sports car offerings such as the Porsche 718 Cayman S and Porsche 911.
