Following the price reduction and slight upgrade of the Toyota Fortuner earlier this year, the Ford Everest is also preparing to introduce a new version. According to information from a dealer’s sales consultant, the Everest Platinum is scheduled to be launched next month with an estimated price of around 1.7 billion VND, which is about 200 million VND higher than the Wildtrak version. The car will be imported from Thailand.

There is also information that the Platinum version will replace the Wildtrak version, even though the Wildtrak version has not been on sale for long. This will be the top-of-the-line version of the Everest when it is launched.

The Everest Platinum has been available in Australia for a while and is now ready to make its way to Southeast Asia. One major difference between the model sold in Australia and the one sold in Vietnam will be the engine. The salesperson said that the Platinum version will not use the V6 3.0L engine like the one in Australia, but will instead be equipped with a 2.0L twin-turbo engine similar to the Titanium version. This engine has a capacity of 207 horsepower, torque of 500 Nm, combined with a 10-speed transmission and 4×4 drive.

The dealer also revealed some basic information about the interior and exterior features of the Everest Platinum. Accordingly, the car is equipped with 21-inch wheels, which is 1 inch larger than the Titanium version. The front headlights are also high-performance LED. The grille of this version is more prominent with bright details.

The interior equipment of the Platinum version promises to have more features than the Titanium version, such as the Bang & Olufsen 12-speaker sound system, premium leather material, ventilated seats for both front and rear rows… These are luxurious amenities compared to competitors in the segment such as the Fortuner or Pajero Sport.

Other notable features inside the Platinum version will be the same as the Titanium version, including a 12.4-inch display behind the steering wheel, a 12-inch vertical display, an electronic gear lever, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, panoramic sunroof… The car still accommodates 3 rows of seats with 7 seats, of which the second row has 3 seats.

As the top-of-the-line version of the Everest, the car is almost certain to be equipped with the most advanced safety technologies of this model. Compared to its competitors, the Everest still excels in safety with many advanced driver assistance features, a 360-degree camera, and automatic parking capability.

With many positive changes in the new generation, the Ford Everest has shown increasing popularity with Vietnamese customers through its sales figures. In 2023, this model outsold both the Santa Fe and Fortuner, taking the leading position in the 7-seater SUV segment in Vietnam.
