Recently, Son Hai Corporation (Son Hai Group) officially handed over a special project, “Son Hai’s Love Village,” located in Cha Ly village, Huong Lap commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province, to residents in a landslide-prone area.
Specifically, “Son Hai’s Love Village” is invested by Son Hai Group, with a total investment of nearly VND 40 billion. The decision to build this special project came after the terrifying landslides in the north of Huong Hoa district in 2020, with the aim of relocating people from high-risk areas.
The project began construction in 2022 and comprises 56 houses designed in the stilt house architecture. In addition, Son Hai Group also built and donated a kindergarten, a primary school, and a community house to this new village. These 56 houses were gifted to 56 households, comprising 271 people, from three villages: Tri, Cuoi, and Cha Ly, in Huong Lap commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province.

The residents of the new village also received cows from Son Hai Group to support their long-term stability.
Alongside housing construction, Son Hai Group also invested in drilling wells, road infrastructure, and electrical wiring to ensure a convenient life for the villagers.
Furthermore, Son Hai Group provided support to help the locals stabilize their long-term livelihoods. The group rehabilitated two terraced rice fields spanning 7.59 hectares, allowing the villagers to cultivate rice independently. Each household also received a cow, a TV set with Wi-Fi access, and a three-year supply of rice. The total amount invested by Son Hai Group in building schools and providing cows and rice for the villagers of “Son Hai’s Love Village” amounted to VND 7 billion.

In reality, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai, Chairman of Son Hai Group, came up with the idea of constructing this new village. Mr. Hai shared that he started thinking about a safe place for the people in the north of Huong Hoa district after witnessing the continuous landslides during the rainy season in 2020.
Mr. Ha Si Dong, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Tri province, expressed his gratitude for Son Hai Group’s humanitarian act. After the 2020 landslide, the province had issued a policy to relocate people from areas prone to landslides, floods, and separation. However, this required significant resources and time. Fortunately, with the support of Son Hai Group, the villagers now have a safer and more convenient place to live, reducing their worries when the rainy season arrives.

Son Hai Corporation was established in 1998, with its head office located in Nam Ly ward, Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province. According to the National Business Registration Portal, Son Hai Group has a charter capital of VND 2,338.4 billion. In the enterprise’s capital structure, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai (born in 1966) is the dominant owner, holding 99.912% of the charter capital.
