On August 19, the People’s Court of Ho Chi Minh City announced that it is processing a case of fraud, money laundering, and illegal cross-border currency transportation involving Truong My Lan and 33 other defendants.
Regarding the fraud charges, the court continues to notify investors who purchased bonds from An Dong Investment Group Joint Stock Company (bond codes: ADC 2018.09, ADC 2018.09.1, and ADC 2019.01), Sunny World Investment Joint Stock Company (bond code: SNW-2018.10), Quang Thuan Investment Joint Stock Company (bond code: QT.2018.12.1), and Ho Chi Minh City Service and Trade Joint Stock Company (bond code: SET.H2025) to submit their claims if they are not already included in the list of bondholders provided by the Ministry of Public Security’s Investigation Agency.
The deadline for submitting claims is August 30, 2024. After this date, the court will no longer accept compensation requests from bondholders of the aforementioned companies with the specified bond codes. The rights of these individuals will be addressed through civil cases if requested by the parties, in accordance with the law.
Previously, the Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security had identified over 35,000 individuals who purchased bonds from An Dong Investment Group Joint Stock Company, Sunny World Investment Joint Stock Company, Quang Thuan Investment Joint Stock Company, and Ho Chi Minh City Service and Trade Joint Stock Company (Setra).
