On August 20, the Security Investigation Agency of Nam Dinh Provincial Police has just issued a Decision to Initiate a Prosecution, Prosecute the accused and a Temporary Detention Order against Hoang Van Quang (30 years old, residing in Zone 3, Dong Trieu Ward, Dong Trieu Town, Quang Ninh Province) for “Making, storing, transporting, and circulating counterfeit money.”

Previously, at noon on June 30, while on duty, the task force of the Security Investigation Department of Nam Dinh Provincial Police detected and caught Hoang Van Quang red-handed transporting counterfeit money to sell to customers in Nam Dinh city.
During the inspection and emergency search of the subject’s residence, the police force discovered and confiscated 3,100 counterfeit banknotes with a face value of VND 5,000, 1,848 unprocessed paper sheets with a face value of VND 5,000, 01 laptop, 01 color photocopier, 02 paper cutters, and other tools used for printing counterfeit money.

During the working process, Hoang Van Quang admitted his wrongdoing and revealed that around early April 2024, he purchased a laptop and a multi-function printer to print counterfeit money with a face value of VND 5,000 and then sold it to customers in various provinces and cities. On June 30, while transporting the counterfeit money to sell in Nam Dinh city, he was detected and apprehended by the police.
The case is currently under further investigation and clarification by the Security Investigation Agency of Nam Dinh Provincial Police.
