Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province, Mai Xuan Liem, signed a document early this week to extend the construction investment of the Urban Area project east of the North-South Boulevard in Thanh Hoa city.

The investors are a joint venture between EITC Electronics, Informatics and Telecommunications Joint Stock Company and Fortune Investment Joint Stock Company.

Notably, the document emphasizes that this is the “final extension.”

Project status.

Specifically, for the area of 53.74 hectares that has been handed over to the investor, the deadline for completing the works is April 2025 at the latest.

For the remaining area of about 1.1 hectares, which has not been cleared, the deadline for site clearance is June 30, 2025, and all works must be completed by March 31, 2026, at the latest.

The People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province assigned the Thanh Hoa Land Development Center (the inviting agency) to regularly coordinate with the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa city and related units to monitor and urge the investor to implement the project according to the extended schedule.

The project has become a place for grazing buffaloes.

Previously, as reported by VietNamNet, in March 2012, the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued a decision approving the selection of investors for the Urban Area project east of the North-South Boulevard in Thanh Hoa city, covering the administrative boundaries of Nam Ngạn, Đông Thọ, and Hàm Rồng wards.

The investors are the joint venture between EITC Electronics, Informatics, and Telecommunications Joint Stock Company and Fortune Investment Joint Stock Company.

The project covers an area of 54 hectares, with a total investment of over VND 1,200 billion. Up to now, the investor is still slowly implementing the project, and the infrastructure has not been completed.
