Police in Ninh Binh Province Initiate Prosecution for Bribery Involving Fund for People’s Credit in Khanh Cuong

On August 21st, the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Investigation Agency announced the prosecution of a case and three defendants involved in bribery at the Khanh Cuong People’s Credit Fund in Yen Khanh District.
The defendants include Bui Van Thai (born 1980), director of the Khanh Cuong Fund, and Nguyen Thi Thuan (born 1977), a commune civil servant, who were charged with “accepting bribes.” In connection with this case, Pham Thi Hoai (born 1989) was charged with “offering bribes.”
According to the investigation, Hoai provided bribes to Thai and Thuan to expedite procedures for land transfer, donation, and granting of land use rights certificates and loan application files as per Hoai’s requests.
The Ninh Binh Police are continuing to investigate and clarify the case.
