With the theme “Exploring Artificial Intelligence – Leading the Future,” TechFest MedMarvel Talks 2024 is a joint event organized by British University Vietnam (BUV) and IVIE – Doctor, please. The event aims to share practical applications of technology, with a particular focus on AI in healthcare.

TechFest MedMarvel Talks is part of the TechFest Vietnam series organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology to encourage startup and creative activities. The event brings together leading experts in healthcare and technology, scientists, and students.

In his opening remarks, Professor Rick Bennett, Vice Principal of British University Vietnam, said, “The level of technological advancement and the way people embrace new technology have been rapidly changing over the decades. Through today’s event, we want to emphasize that technology is an exciting field, very close to our lives, and the key to unlocking the future.”

PGS. TS. Jason MacVaugh, BUV’s Director of Education and Dean, shared the university’s decision to co-organize the event: “A crucial part of BUV’s mission is to contribute to Vietnam’s future. As an educational institution, we recognize that supercomputers and applications of data science and AI are key to societal progress. Therefore, BUV is committed to promoting digital transformation in and out of the classroom.”
