On August 24, representatives of the People’s Committee of Binh Duong province announced that the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Project on Land Fund Exploitation to generate revenue for socio-economic development in Binh Duong province for the period of 2024-2025, with a vision towards 2030, has met to deploy the Project.
Accordingly, the project establishes a land fund from five sources: land retrieved and handed over to the land development fund management; land of offices and operation facilities of state agencies and public non-business units; locally-managed public land; land of state-owned enterprises undergoing equitization, management rearrangement, and retrieval; and land of individuals and organizations that is expected to be retrieved according to the land use planning and the planning for the development of urban areas, industrial parks, commercial services, and logistics.
The total land fund comprises 113 land plots with a total area of 22,152 hectares. Among these, 38 land plots with a total area of 392 hectares will be put up for auction for land and public asset use rights.
Specifically, in 2024, Binh Duong will auction off 10 land plots with a total area of 8.3 hectares. The procedures for the auction of these land plots are expected to be completed and the auction will be organized in the fourth quarter of 2024.

These include the land of the Binh Duong Provincial Customs Department (0.26 hectares) in Thu Dau Mot City; two land plots of the Binh Duong Production – Import Export Corporation (564 square meters) in Thuan An City; the land of Sobexco Company (2.35 hectares) in Ben Cat Town; the land of Thanh Le Import Export Trading and Production Joint Stock Company (2.98 hectares) in Di An City; the land of Tan Loi Import Export Production and Trading Joint Stock Company (0.81 hectares) in Thu Dau Mot City; the land of the Inspectorate of the Department of Construction (0.04 hectares) in Thu Dau Mot City; the land of Chau Tho Kindergarten (0.41 hectares) in Di An City; and two land plots in Dau Tieng Town, namely the land of the Dau Tieng Residential Area (0.82 hectares) and the land behind the District Police (0.61 hectares) in Dau Tieng District.
In 2025, Binh Duong province will auction 17 land plots with a total area of 331.6 hectares. For the period of 2026-2030, 11 land plots with a total area of 52.2 hectares will be auctioned.
In parallel, a bidding process will be organized to select investors for 75 new urban areas and urban development areas, with a total area of 21,760 hectares. Specifically, the district-level People’s Committees in coordination with the Department of Planning and Investment will carry out procedures and organize the bidding to select investors for 4 projects with a total area of 1,764.5 hectares in 2024, 18 projects with a total area of 2,702.8 hectares in 2025, and 53 projects with a total area of 17,292.5 hectares in the period of 2026-2030.
At present, the relevant departments, sectors, and localities of Binh Duong province are coordinating to study and implement the work of bidding, selecting investors, and assessing their capacity; carrying out land retrieval and compensation; and arranging and handling issues related to the management of public assets before the auction of these land plots.

Binh Duong: Land prices to increase up to 247% from current prices.
If passed, the proposed Resolution will result in an increase in land prices in Binh Duong province, ranging from a minimum of 11% to a maximum of 247% compared to the current prices. This adjustment is aimed at aligning the land prices with the current reality, as some communes are upgraded to wards and towns.
Bình Dương seeks Lego Group for Lego Land expansion
The provincial leaders of Binh Duong are excited about the opportunity to develop a Lego Land project in the area, using the available clean land resources. They hope that the Lego Group will consider this proposal and invest in the project in the near future.
