The Board of Directors of SJ Group JSC (Stock code: SJS) has decided to relieve Mr. Do Van Binh from his position as Chairman, appointing him as Vice Chairman for the 2020-2025 term, effective August 21st.
Mr. Binh, born in 1960, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking. He joined SJ Group in 2012 and has been serving as Chairman since May 2021.
Taking on the role of Chairman for the 2020-2025 term is Mr. Bui Quang Bach, born in 1976. Mr. Bach holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Banking and has been a member of the company’s Board since March 2023.
Mr. Bach is also a member of the Board of Directors at SAM Holdings JSC (Stock code: SAM) and National Securities JSC (Stock code: NSI).
Additionally, SJ Group has appointed Mr. Phuong Xuan Thuy, a member of the Board, as Vice Chairman for the 2020-2025 term. Mr. Thuy, born in 1977, holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and joined the Board in March 2023.
Mr. Thuy also serves as Chairman of Sacom Tuyen Lam JSC, Vice Chairman of SAM Holdings JSC, and is a member of the Board of Directors at Dam Sen Water Park JSC (Stock code: DSN).
In other senior personnel changes, the SJ Group’s Board of Directors decided in July 2024 to relieve the General Director of his duties. As a result, Mr. Do Trong Quynh stepped down as General Director and legal representative of the company as of July 15, 2024.
Taking on the role of Acting General Director from that date is Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong, who previously served as Deputy General Director.
SJ Group, formerly known as Sudico, was established in 2001 and primarily operates in the real estate sector. The group is known for its large-scale projects such as the expanded Nam An Khanh project, the new urban area of Nam An Khanh, the Van La residential area, the eco-tourism area of Song Da – Ngoc Vung, the Tien Xuan urban area, and the Hoa Hai project in Da Nang, among others.
In April 2024, Sudico officially announced its new name: SJ Group JSC (English name: SJ Group Joint Stock Company, abbreviated: SJ Group). The name change was approved by the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment on April 11, 2024, following the annual general meeting of shareholders’ agreement on March 20, 2024.
