Ford Territory Introduces New Color Option in Vietnam

A Ford Territory was recently spotted at a vehicle emission testing center in Hanoi, featuring a distinct set of black gloss alloy wheels that differ from the officially sold version in the country. This particular model might indicate the introduction of a Ford Territory Sport variant, similar to the one available in the Philippines.

Based on the 18-inch wheels, it is speculated that this vehicle is based on either the Trend or Titanium variant. The top-of-the-line Titanium X variant boasts larger 19-inch dual five-spoke alloy wheels.

In the Philippines, the Ford Territory Sport showcases several exterior modifications, including black-painted alloy wheels, roof, side mirrors, side claddings, and rear badging. However, due to the glossy black body paint of the vehicle spotted in Vietnam, only the black alloy wheels stand out from the rest of the exterior elements.

Rumors have been circulating that Ford Vietnam might introduce the Sport variant for this C-segment SUV, but the company has not confirmed this information yet.

What Makes the Ford Territory Sport Stand Out?

Referring to the Philippine market, the Ford Territory Sport primarily showcases unique color combinations and exterior styling while retaining the same equipment and features.

The interior of the Ford Territory Sport features a striking black and white dual-tone color scheme with contrasting orange stripes on the seats, armrests, and dashboard. This is the only noticeable difference compared to the other variants in terms of interior styling.

The rest of the equipment remains unchanged, including the 12-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, electronic gear selector, electronic parking brake, auto-dimming rearview mirror, power-adjustable front seats, and ventilated front seats, to name a few.

Under the hood, the Ford Territory Sport is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 160 horsepower and 248 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The vehicle offers four driving modes to suit different conditions.

As expected from a Ford vehicle, the Territory Sport is packed with advanced safety features such as emergency brake assist, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic headlights. Additionally, it comes with tire pressure monitoring, automatic parking assist, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags.
