Indian automaker TVS has unveiled the latest generation of its Jupiter scooter. This upgrade features a modern and youthful design, enhancing the scooter’s aesthetic appeal.
The TVS Jupiter boasts dimensions of 1,848 mm in length, 665 mm in width, and 1,158 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,275 mm. It is equipped with LED headlights and taillights, along with LED DRLs that double as turn signals. Both the front and rear wheels are fitted with tubeless 90/90-12 54J tires.
The scooter comes with a mechanical key that integrates ignition, seat, and fuel tank locks. The digital speedometer features a colored LCD display with smart alerts, average distance and real-time trip meters, emergency brake lights, and a convenient USB charging port.
Additionally, the TVS Jupiter is equipped with the TVS SmartXonnect system, offering features like distance-to-empty readings, vehicle locator functionality, and average fuel consumption calculations. The fuel tank is positioned under the floorboard, with the filler cap located at the front, allowing for convenient refueling without dismounting.
The under-seat storage has been expanded to 33 liters, accommodating two half-face helmets. There’s also a 2-liter front storage compartment for items like a phone and a 500ml water bottle.
The suspension setup includes hydraulic telescopic front forks and a rear suspension with an airbag. Braking power is provided by a 220mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum brake. The kerb weight has been reduced to 105kg, improving the power-to-weight and torque-to-weight ratios.
Powering the TVS Jupiter is a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, 113.3cc engine with electronic fuel injection. It delivers a maximum power output of 7.9 hp at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 9.2 Nm (without assist) or 9.8 Nm (with assist) at 5,000 rpm. The engine complies with BS VI emission standards and enables a top speed of 82 km/h.
The new TVS Jupiter 2024 is priced at a starting MSRP of 73,700 Rs (approximately 20 million VND). It is offered in four variants: Drum, Drum Alloy, Drum SXC, and Disc SXC, with six color options: Lunar White Gloss, Dawn Blue Matte, Titanium Grey Matte, Meteor Red Gloss, Galactic Copper Matte, and Starlight Blue Gloss.
