Fostering connections and partnerships within the plastic circular ecosystem in Vietnam is an important step towards promoting sustainability. This ecosystem comprises businesses, non-governmental organizations, government agencies, researchers, and individuals in the community. Each partner plays a vital role in driving plastic circular solutions, from collection and sorting to recycling and reuse.
The “2024 Plastic Circular Innovation Solutions” program promotes innovation from individuals and organizations nationwide in developing plastic waste recycling technology.
While the current plastic waste management system in Vietnam has limitations, especially in operationalizing Extended Producer Responsibility (ERP), it also presents opportunities for businesses and organizations to contribute to refining the legal framework and creating breakthrough solutions for a circular economy.
To facilitate plastic circular solutions, the public-private collaboration has implemented various legal and financial incentives to encourage businesses and communities to engage in recycling and reuse activities.
The “2024 Plastic Circular Innovation Solutions” program was established to identify, promote, and recognize innovative solutions from individuals and organizations across the country in developing plastic waste recycling technology. This program also aims to address plastic waste issues and support the implementation of EPR regulations. It serves as a platform for initiatives to seek market and investor opportunities.
