In 2023, we even intensified our efforts to create quality products and valuable initiatives to meet the ever-changing consumer needs and contribute to addressing other social issues in Vietnam.”

NEW PRODUCTS WITH UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO QUALITY

Known as a “national” seasoning and food brand in Vietnam, Ajinomoto has expanded its business in the frozen food sector with a new product, Japanese-style Gyoza dumplings filled with pork and chicken. Gyoza is a dish that originated in China and was later introduced to Japan, where it became a traditional dish.

First launched in 1972 and having undergone over 50 years of development, Ajinomoto’s renowned Gyoza has gained popularity in 30 countries worldwide. With its entrance into the Vietnamese market, Ajinomoto aims to bring the captivating, nutritious, and convenient culinary experience of Japanese cuisine to the S-shaped country.

In addition to carefully selecting fresh ingredients, Ajinomoto has discovered the secret to creating the delicious Gyoza flavor by balancing the ratio of lean meat to fat, adopting a unique meat grinding technique, and skillfully blending meat with vegetables for a subtle taste. Now, Vietnamese consumers can easily enjoy this traditional Japanese dumpling at home with a simple preparation method.

To savor Gyoza with the same meticulousness and subtlety as the Japanese, you don’t need to defrost the Ajinomoto Gyoza. Simply pan-fry it and then cook it with a small amount of water over medium heat until the water evaporates. In just 6 minutes, you’ll have a delicious, hot, authentic Japanese-style Gyoza with a crispy, fragrant outer layer and a soft, high-quality filling. Dip it in soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil according to your preference, and enjoy!

Moreover, Ajinomoto offers various other products that prioritize health, such as reduced-sodium soy sauce (Phu Si), ready-to-eat dipping sauce (Kho Quet An Lien), and reduced-sugar Blendy® drink mixes. They also have products like the roasted sesame sauce “Aji-Xot,” which encourages the consumption of vegetables, and these are increasingly popular among health-conscious Vietnamese consumers.

INITIATIVES FOR BETTER NUTRITION AND HEALTH

In addition to focusing on product quality, Ajinomoto contributes to improving the nutrition and health of Vietnam’s future generations through various nutritional initiatives targeting different beneficiary groups, including pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, children under 5 years old, and elementary school students.

Over time, more than 17,500 healthcare workers and over 1 million mothers nationwide have accessed and utilized the contents of the Mother and Baby Nutrition program to take care of their health and nutrition during pregnancy and when caring for their young children. Notably, mothers can apply diverse and nutritious menus, ensuring a balanced diet that considers the physiological characteristics of pregnancy, breastfeeding, or caring for young children, thanks to the Mother and Baby Nutrition software.

Regarding the School Lunch Project, Ajinomoto Vietnam has successfully implemented it in nearly 4,300 elementary boarding schools, providing nutritionally balanced meals and nutritional knowledge to over 1.9 million students nationwide.

Additionally, the company offers other initiatives toward sustainable agriculture. The Cassava Sustainable Project, implemented by Ajinomoto for over 12 months, has initially yielded positive results, with cassava yield nearly doubling, stabilizing farmers’ incomes, and ensuring supply for production. The project also contributes to reducing CO2 emissions from cassava cultivation.

With its past, present, and future endeavors, Ajinomoto Vietnam has demonstrated its concrete and effective actions and efficiency in striving toward its goal of contributing to the health and happiness of Vietnamese people through quality products and valuable initiatives.
