General Secretary and President To Lam congratulated the great achievements of China under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, with Comrade General Secretary and President Xi Jinping at its core. He acknowledged the significant contributions of border localities such as Guangxi and emphasized their increasingly important role in connecting China with ASEAN, including Vietnam.
Expressing his respect for the long-standing traditional friendship between the two Parties and countries, the General Secretary and President highlighted Guangxi as a witness to numerous cooperative activities of the two revolutions. He extended his gratitude for the attention and preservation of historical sites related to President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese revolution by the Party, government, and people of Guangxi over the years.
General Secretary and President To Lam discussed the very successful outcome of his recent state visit to China and the important common perceptions reached with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders. He affirmed that the highest leaders of the two Parties and countries attach great importance to and prioritize the development of Vietnam-China relations. They consistently support the advancement of friendly and cooperative relations for mutual benefit between the border localities of the two countries, including Guangxi and Vietnam’s northeastern border provinces.
Acknowledging and appreciating Guangxi’s leading role in economic and trade cooperation with Vietnam over the years, General Secretary and President To Lam suggested that Guangxi and Vietnam’s border localities continue to maintain and further enhance the effectiveness of exchange and cooperation mechanisms. He proposed strengthening substantive collaboration in areas such as the economy, trade, investment, and digital transformation and jointly managing and building a peaceful, stable, friendly, cooperative, and developing Vietnam-China border, contributing to enriching the relationship between the two Parties and countries.
