Tân Sơn Nhất Airport is bracing for a busy National Day holiday, with an expected footfall of nearly 500,000 passengers and over 2,800 flights over the four-day period, marking an 8% increase from regular days.

On the busiest day, the airport is expected to serve over 125,000 passengers and accommodate 730 flights, surpassing the daily average of 110,000 passengers and 660 flights.

As observed on the evening of August 30, a growing number of passengers were seen at Tân Sơn Nhất Airport. Despite the crowds, the situation remained orderly without any chaos or congestion.

According to a representative from Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport, during this peak holiday season, the airport has collaborated with various units to devise plans and strategies to ensure smooth passenger services, security, and safe operations.

The check-in counters are bustling with passengers completing their pre-flight procedures.

During peak days, the Youth Union members of Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport and the Vietnam Aviation Academy will provide assistance to passengers at the security screening area and the domestic terminal’s public hall between 5 AM and 9 AM.

At the ride-hailing pick-up area, passengers with their luggage await their rides.

During this National Day holiday, Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region are expected to experience thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport will closely collaborate with the Aviation Meteorology Center to enhance weather monitoring and forecasting.

Based on the weather forecasts, the airport will proactively notify about weather conditions that may impact flight operations, especially adverse weather events, to facilitate efficient flight management and operations.
