In addition to the increased flights, Vietnam Airlines operates regular flights from Hanoi to Dien Bien with a frequency of 1 flight per day, which can be increased in the future due to the forecasted rapid increase in passenger traffic during the blooming flower season or the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

Increasing the frequency of flights to Dien Bien during the Lunar New Year to meet passenger demand.

As the national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines has implemented several measures to maximize flights within the allowed resources to better serve the high demand for travel during the Lunar New Year, such as leasing 4 Airbus A320 aircraft, arranging flight schedules, and staffing to provide passengers with more options when booking tickets during this period, including flights to Dien Bien.

To ensure a smooth journey, Vietnam Airlines recommends that passengers proactively check-in online through the website, mobile application, hotline 1900 6265, or at self-check-in kiosks within 24 hours before departure. Passengers who have completed online check-in and do not have checked baggage can proceed directly to the security screening area at the airport without having to go to the airline’s traditional check-in counter, saving a lot of travel and waiting time.

In addition, during the peak period of the Lunar New Year, there may be traffic congestion on the way to the airport. Therefore, passengers should arrange their time and plan their travel in advance to arrive at the airport 2 hours before departure. Passengers should undergo security screening immediately after completing check-in and have their personal documents and boarding pass ready.
