According to ACV, from August 30 to September 3, the expected output of the ACV airport system is approximately 9,600 take-offs and landings. This includes an estimated 6,000 domestic take-offs and landings, averaging 1,200 per day, a 4.3% increase compared to the daily average in August.
Passenger numbers are expected to reach 1.02 million, averaging 216,000 per day, an increase of 8-10% from regular days. The busiest day is expected to be August 30, with 1,230 take-offs and landings and 222,000 passengers.
International operations are expected to see 3,600 take-offs and landings, averaging 720 per day, an increase of 8% from regular days. Passenger numbers are estimated to reach 580,000, averaging 116,000 per day, a 5-8% increase from regular days.
The international output is mainly focused on Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, Danang, and Cam Ranh airports.
At Noi Bai International Airport, the busiest day is expected to see over 330 take-offs and landings and serve more than 61,000 domestic passengers, a 9-12% increase.
Airports with significant increases in output during the National Day holiday include Danang, Phu Quoc, Cam Ranh, Phu Bai, Dien Bien, and Con Dao.
To ensure aviation security during the holiday, ACV has directed its affiliated airports to implement enhanced aviation security measures, including increased personnel deployment at sensitive areas from August 31 to September 3. This prevents congestion and overload during peak hours in passenger terminal buildings.
Especially, the airports strictly control passengers’ identification documents, conduct random interviews, and maximize the use of security scanners during peak hours to ensure the fastest flow.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, from August 30 to September 3, Vietnamese airlines will supply approximately 850,000 seats on domestic routes.
The North-South routes connecting Hanoi, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City remain the focus, with an average of more than 240 flights per day, an increase of 8% compared to the week before the holiday and 14.9% over the same period in 2023.
Domestic tourist routes to Vinh, Binh Dinh, Dalat, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc, as well as routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to other localities, average 171 and 187 flights per day, respectively, increasing by 2% and 4% compared to the week before the holiday.
Tomorrow, nearly 100,000 people will flock to Noi Bai Airport.
The Ná»™i BÃ i International Airport in Hanoi is expected to experience high travel volume tomorrow, February 7th (or the 28th of the lunar calendar), with 605 flights and 98.5 thousand passengers. After Tet, on February 15th (or the 6th of the lunar calendar), there are expected to be 608 flights and 105 thousand passengers.
