“Steps of Love” is CapitaLand’s long-term commitment to sustainable development, community engagement, and creating a positive impact in Vietnam, a country the Group has been present in for 30 years since 1994. This is one of the activities under the annual campaign supported by CHF that encourages employees, partners, and customers to engage in volunteerism together. Following the success of the campaign organized for the first time in Binh Duong in March 2024, the program continues to be implemented in Hanoi from August 28 to October 19, 2024. CHF has committed to contribute USD 30,000 (over VND 700 million) upon achieving a total of 200 million steps from the virtual walking campaign and 20 million steps from the outdoor walking event under the “Steps of Love” program.

For the virtual walking campaign, the Organizing Committee encourages participants to record their steps during the program to achieve the goal of 200 million steps together. The campaign will conclude with an outdoor walking event on October 20, 2024, at Ocean City, Gia Lam district, Hanoi. Participants can choose to walk or run 2km or 5km with friends, family, and pets. The program is free for everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. Register for the event at https://togetherwestep.vn/ha-noi-2024/.

Mr. Alwin Low, Northern Region Director of CLD (Vietnam), shared: “We are delighted by the positive response from the community to the ‘Steps of Love’ program organized for the first time in Binh Duong, where we recorded over 100 million steps. CLD has committed to contribute USD 30,000 to upgrade the kitchen at Thanh Tuyen Kindergarten (Campus 2), improving nutrition for students here. The project was completed and officially handed over to the school on August 2, 2024, marking the successful conclusion of the program. For this event, we are honored to collaborate with Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation to support street children and students with difficult circumstances in Vietnam.”

Mr. Low added: “On the occasion of CapitaLand’s 30th anniversary in Vietnam, we remain committed to our mission of enhancing lives and enriching communities where CLD operates. We strive to enhance the development and well-being of Vietnamese children by supporting their educational and welfare needs. Since 2007, through the CapitaLand Hope Foundation, four schools in the provinces of Phu Tho, Hung Yen, and Long An have been renovated, providing a safe and conducive learning environment for students.
