MG5 Now Only Available with Manual Transmission, Record-Low Price

According to sales consultants at dealerships, the MG5 MT (also referred to as the New MG5 to differentiate it from the previously sold model) is being offered with significant discounts of up to 80 million VND. The actual selling price of the car is 315 million VND, a steep drop from the listed price of 399 million VND. Dealers noted that the quantity of vehicles available at this price is limited.

MG5 consistently receives substantial discounts at dealerships.

Dealerships have confirmed that only the MG5 MT variant is currently available. The CVT version, which was previously imported in limited quantities, is now only found at a select few dealerships.

Consequently, the actual selling price of the MG5 is even lower than that of cars in the A-segment, such as the Kia Morning and Hyundai Grand i10. The Grand i10, for instance, has a starting price of 360 million VND.

The MG5 offers larger dimensions but a lower price compared to A-segment cars.

As the MG5 is imported from China, it does not qualify for government registration fee support.

What Does the MG5 Manual Transmission Offer?

In comparison to the MG5 model previously sold, the New MG5 features a completely different design. In fact, it is an older generation model. The vehicle’s design is also simpler and less modern than the sportier-looking MG5.

Despite its affordable price, the MG5 still manages to look contemporary with LED daytime running lights, halogen projector headlights, and LED taillights. The 15-inch wheels are on the smaller side.

For a car priced at just 315 million VND, the MG5’s convenience features are far from sparse. It boasts an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a multifunction steering wheel, and electronic climate control. Other standard features include fabric upholstery, key ignition, and a four-speaker audio system.

The MG5 is now exclusively offered with a manual transmission. Its 1.5L engine produces 113 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. The car is equipped with front disc brakes.

In terms of safety features, the MG5 includes rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and dual airbags.
