The All-New Honda HR-V: Unveiling the Ultimate Driving Experience
The highly anticipated new version of the Honda HR-V is set to go on sale in Thailand on November 28. While the official specifications will be announced on that day, many key elements of this new model have already been revealed.
First off, the new Honda HR-V will be offered in a stunning new color, Sand Khaki Pearl, as seen in the image below. Additionally, this Japanese SUV boasts new 18-inch alloy wheels with a striking two-tone design.
Up front, the grille has been subtly redesigned, and the lower front bumper has been refined. At the rear, you’ll find a sleek new set of LED tail lights that stretch across the entire width of the tailgate.
Step inside the cabin, and you’ll be greeted by a new 8-inch Advanced Touch central touchscreen display that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The steering wheel is a stylish 4-spoke design, wrapped in leather, and integrated with function buttons and shift paddles. The instrument cluster combines two analog dials with a 7-inch TFT screen for a modern look and feel.
When it comes to safety, the Honda HR-V excels with its Honda Sensing technology package. This includes advanced features such as Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control with low-speed follow, Lane Keeping Assist, and more.
Under the hood, the new Honda HR-V comes standard with a hybrid gasoline-electric powertrain, as indicated by the “e:HEV” suffix in its name. It combines a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine producing 105 horsepower and 127Nm of torque with two electric motors. The total system output is an impressive 131 horsepower and 253Nm of torque. All this power is smoothly delivered through an e-CVT transmission.

In Thailand, the Honda HR-V is offered in three configurations. The base model, e:HEV G, is priced at 979,000 baht, which roughly converts to 677 million VND. The two higher-spec models, HR-V e:HEV EL and HR-V e:HEV RS, offer even more features and are priced at 746 million VND and 815 million VND, respectively.
In Vietnam, the new Honda HR-V has already made its presence felt through the registration of certain parts and components for industrial design protection, including the grille, front bumper, and tail lights. This suggests that the new model could be launching in Vietnam soon as well.
However, while the registered images show the hybrid version, it is unclear if Vietnam will follow Thailand’s lead in offering only one engine option.
