GreenNode has been recognized in the “AI Technology” category for its expertise in building and operating one of the most advanced AI Cloud centers in Southeast Asia.

Earlier in June, GreenNode inaugurated its AI Cloud center in Bangkok, becoming the first large-scale AI Cloud service provider in the region within just six months of deployment.

The data center is entirely operated by GreenNode’s team, who also developed the GreenNode AI Platform. By utilizing advanced technologies such as OpenStack architecture, Kubernetes platform, Infiniband connectivity, and Spectrum-X networking, they enable international businesses to leverage high-performance computing resources on servers using NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs for cost-effective AI models.

According to the award organizers, the global shortage of GPU chips has created significant challenges for the development of large language models (LLMs). GreenNode’s large-scale AI Cloud infrastructure is, therefore, considered a breakthrough solution, accelerating the growth of AI models in the Asia-Pacific region.

In the “Cloud Technology” category, VNG Cloud was acknowledged for its effective use of the Kubernetes platform for its cloud resource management service (VNG Cloud Kubernetes Service – VKS). This has enhanced scalability while optimizing costs and reducing server cluster setup time to just 2-3 minutes.

Additionally, VNG Cloud has improved customer experiences by incorporating AI/ML capabilities to empower enterprises in Vietnam to deploy AI applications more efficiently.

“This double win showcases the competitiveness of Vietnam’s digital infrastructure on the global stage,” said a representative from VNG Digital Business. “With GreenNode, AI resources are no longer exclusive to tech giants, and AI solutions in Asia will have a chance to accelerate in the global technology race. Meanwhile, VNG Cloud will continue to strengthen its position as a leading cloud service provider, enabling local enterprises to embrace digital transformation quickly and securely.”

The Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2024 celebrate technology innovators and solutions that positively impact industry development or lead the way in digital transformation in Asia. The awards are organized by Asian Business Review, a Singapore-based publication.
