Commitment and Aspiration for AI Transformation
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung expressed his impression of the aspiration for AI transformation and the will to rise to the world level of some large Vietnamese technology companies, including CMC. “Digital technology is the main technology of the fourth industrial revolution, and the key technology of digital technology is AI. So today, we say that the representative of the first industrial revolution was the steam engine, the second was electricity, the third was the computer, and the fourth is AI. Applying digital technology is also developing technology. To promote the rapid development of AI in Vietnam, let’s use the data of our own organizations and individuals to develop AI applications. AI technology acts as an assistant to humans rather than surpassing them. AI, despite having more information, intelligence, and knowledge, is only meant to aid humans in making better decisions and improving their work,” the minister emphasized.

Building an AI transformation strategy involves more than just integrating technology; it entails crafting a long-term vision and a sustainable, comprehensive development roadmap. The Ministry of Information and Communications strongly believes that CMC will continue to pioneer AI transformation and apply AI in vital sectors, ranging from finance and banking to education, healthcare, and numerous others.
Also, at the event, Mr. Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, shared: “With a strategic vision and strong determination, the CMC Group has been taking the lead in applying AI to enhance competitiveness and best serve the community. I applaud the idea of the CMC Group in developing the AI Transformation Strategy, as it marks not only a new breakthrough for the enterprise but also a great opportunity for Ho Chi Minh City in accompanying the enterprise to realize the digital transformation and AI transformation projects that the City is implementing. I also emphasize that the cooperation between the CMC Group and the People’s Committee of the City can only succeed if we jointly create a favorable environment for innovation. We will facilitate technology start-ups, promote AI research and development in universities, and establish new technology research and development centers.”
Ho Chi Minh City is also the place CMC has chosen to invest in and develop its technologies and services, notably the CMC Data Center in Tan Thuan. This data center is the most secure and modern in Vietnam.

Through his research, the CMC Chairman found that: AI has impacted all facets of life, from economics and society to politics, from government to businesses and citizens, AI is transforming us. And we need to apply AI to proactively and positively transform ourselves!

During the ceremony, CMC introduced its AI ecosystem, comprising four key AI technologies: Speech Processing, Natural Language Processing, Data Analysis, and Computer Vision. Also within this ecosystem, in 2024, CMC developed the first AI solution and AI hardware (AI Device), the CMC AIVision (AI Camera), which enables face recognition, security control, building access control, behavior recognition, etc. Additionally, riding the GenAI wave, CMC introduced two solutions: a GenAI-based investment consulting solution and a chatbot solution as an alternative to traditional financial advisors. These solutions provide multi-dimensional stock analysis and investment recommendations to support customers in making quick decisions. CMC masters numerous AI technology solutions to assist enterprises in transforming their business operations, from enterprise management and internal support to production, sales, marketing, and customer experience.
