The Hyundai Santa Fe is one of the flagship models of Hyundai Thanh Cong in Vietnam. Since the launch of the fourth generation in 2019, about 53,000 units of this model have been sold in the domestic market, making it one of the most popular D-SUVs among Vietnamese users.
It comes as no surprise that HTC would pull out all the stops for the Santa Fe with a grand and tech-filled unveiling event. In its fifth generation, this SUV has undergone a complete transformation in terms of design and now boasts cutting-edge technologies that are among the newest in the market.

From a distance, the new Santa Fe stands out with its boxy design, appearing much more robust than its predecessor. Its features are sleek and angular, with the distinctive H-shaped headlights and taillights drawing inspiration from the Hyundai logo.
The front grille is equipped with AFF (Active Air Flap) technology, which intelligently opens and closes depending on the driving mode to optimize airflow and reduce wind resistance. As a result, despite its boxy design, this SUV boasts a drag coefficient comparable to that of a sedan.
Compared to the previous generation, the fifth-generation Santa Fe is longer and taller, with a wheelbase that has been extended by 50 mm. Its specific dimensions are 4,830 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height. The SUV continues to utilize the N-Platform chassis.
The wheel sizes range from 18 to 21 inches for the top-of-the-line model. The roof rails not only enhance the vehicle’s rugged appearance but also provide a 100 kg load capacity. Hyundai has also included a hidden hook on the C-pillar, making it convenient for users to access and attach items for outdoor adventures.

The square design of the trunk area contributes to a more spacious third-row seating area. Tests have shown that with all three rows of seats in use, the trunk can accommodate three suitcases, and when the third row is folded down, it can hold up to 16 suitcases (compared to only 12 in the previous generation).
Inside, the interior design mimics a giant letter “H” with intersecting horizontal and vertical lines.
The dual 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports a 360-degree SVM camera, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, an external amplifier for high-quality audio decoding, and a heads-up display (HUD).

In this generation, the gear shift has been relocated behind the steering wheel, similar to the Ioniq 5 electric model. The control cluster combines a rotary knob with a 6.6-inch touchscreen.
Other notable features include power-adjustable seats with memory for two positions, a heated steering wheel, ventilated and heated front seats, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, automatic wipers, automatic defogging and anti-glare windshield, electronic parking brake (EPB), and auto hold function.
The top-of-the-line model boasts Nappa leather seats, while the second-row seats in the other models are adjustable via buttons instead of power adjustment. This model also features a digital rearview mirror that can be switched to a conventional mirror with the push of a button.
The SUV supports dual wireless charging with a 15W output, a 27W fast-charging USB-C port, and a UV-sterilizing document holder.

The new Santa Fe offers two engine options: the Smartstream 2.5L engine that produces 194 horsepower and 246 Nm of torque, and the turbo engine that delivers 281 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 8 seconds.
All variants are equipped with four driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Smart, along with the SmartSense active safety package.
