On September 23rd, the People’s Committee of Thuong Tin district proceeded with the forcible retrieval of 7,000 square meters of agricultural land in Ha Thai village, Duyen Thai commune, to facilitate the implementation of an investment project for the construction of technical infrastructure. This project involves the auction of land-use rights for the adjacent Duyen Thai I area.
According to the People’s Committee, the project entails the reclamation of 15,978.3 square meters, including 11,574.5 square meters of agricultural land from 100 households, 239 square meters of residential land, and 4,164.8 square meters of public land managed by the Duyen Thai Commune People’s Committee. Following the approval of the project, Thuong Tin district and Duyen Thai commune authorities proceeded with the necessary steps as per regulations.
The People’s Committee of Thuong Tin district stated that, in preparation for the project, the district’s authorities had been promoting and encouraging local residents to voluntarily hand over their land in accordance with the approved plan.
However, many households remain dissatisfied with the district’s compensation and site clearance proposal. As a result, petitions continue to be sent to central and municipal authorities.
In accordance with regulations, the People’s Committee of Thuong Tin district proceeded with the forcible retrieval of agricultural land.
During the enforcement, representatives of the local government announced the decision, after which authorities carried out the necessary steps as per the prescribed procedure.
The authorities secured the site clearance area by setting up barriers. By the end of the morning of September 23rd, the land retrieval process was completed.
Immediately after the enforcement, the People’s Committee of Thuong Tin district instructed the contractor to commence land leveling and proceed with the construction of technical infrastructure as per the approved schedule and regulations.
