The completion of the handover ceremony of 20 toilet blocks marked the end of a meaningful journey for the “School Sanitation” project implemented by the Hope Fund with the joint efforts of Opella Vietnam – Sanofi’s consumer healthcare business in Vietnam, Enterogermina, and FPT Long Chau. The project aimed to replace dilapidated toilets and alleviate overcrowding, providing a hygienic and safe learning environment for students in highland areas.

For the third consecutive year, FPT Long Chau and Sanofi have partnered with the Hope Fund to carry out this meaningful campaign. The program not only provides practical and timely support to children but also reaffirms Long Chau’s long-term commitment to contributing to a healthy and sustainable society.

With a total of 20 toilet blocks, including types 4, 8, and 12 compartments, the project has given a completely new look to the schools. Each structure is designed on a scale based on the number of students in each school branch and is built with a solid structure, a modern water supply and drainage system, and high-quality sanitary equipment. Additionally, the separation of male and female areas with separate entrances and the provision of adequate instructional signage will help students develop proper personal hygiene habits. It is estimated that nearly 10,000 students and teachers in Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province, and Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province, will benefit from the project’s clean, beautiful, and safe sanitation facilities.

The new toilets are spacious and clean.

The achievements would not have been possible without the contributions of Long Chau’s customers. Thousands of compassionate hearts responded to the call, joining the program to pursue the common goal of community health. With every purchase of Enterogermina at the FPT Long Chau pharmacy chain, customers donated VND 10,000 to the “School Sanitation” fund, helping to build new, standard toilets for children in highland areas. The unity of the community continues to spread positivity, contributing to improved education quality and a brighter future for students.

Students of Ban Bo Primary School (Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province) enthusiastically using the new toilet facilities.

A representative of FPT Long Chau shared, “Long Chau is always committed to contributing to community health, especially for children. We believe that a clean and safe living environment will help students focus more on their studies, reduce infectious diseases, and provide better conditions for their holistic development. By continuing to partner with the “School Sanitation” project, FPT Long Chau would like to express our gratitude to our customers for joining us in bringing better learning and living conditions to students and spreading love and a sense of responsibility to the community.”

Despite the harsh weather conditions, including storms, floods, and other challenges, the determination to provide a clean and safe school environment for students drove the teams to persevere. Together, they overcame obstacles and successfully inaugurated the new, standard toilet facilities at the schools in time for the new academic year. It is hoped that these new sanitation facilities will bring comfort and joy to the students, ensuring they have a pleasant experience at school every day.
