**Mr. Lê Ô Pích Relieved of Duty as Vice Chairman of Bac Giang People’s Committee**

On October 23, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Hòa Bình signed Decision No. 1249/QD-TTg, approving the dismissal of Mr. Lê Ô Pích from the position of Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
The decision came into effect immediately.
Prior to this, the Central Inspection Committee held its 46th meeting, during which they reviewed the inspection results and found that the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Party Committee had violated the principles of democracy and their working regulations. They were deemed irresponsible and negligent in their leadership and direction, failing to inspect and supervise the Party Delegation of the Provincial People’s Council and the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the People’s Committee.
Many officials and party members, including key provincial leaders, were found to have degenerated politically, morally, and ethically, violating anti-corruption laws and the Party’s regulations.
These violations have had serious consequences and could have potentially caused significant financial losses to the state. They have also damaged the reputation of the local Party and government organizations. As a result, disciplinary action was deemed necessary. Mr. Lê Ô Pích and several other officials were held accountable for these violations and shortcomings.
Based on the nature, content, and consequences of the violations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to discipline Mr. Lê Ô Pích with a warning.
Subsequently, the Prime Minister also issued Decision No. 1152/QD-TTg, imposing a warning disciplinary measure on Mr. Lê Ô Pích.
The Bac Giang Provincial People’s Council has passed a resolution dismissing Mr. Lê Ô Pích from the position of Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang People’s Committee, upon the proposal of the Chairman of the People’s Committee.
The Central Inspection Committee Disciplines Officials in Relation to the Thuân An Corporation Scandal
On August 28 and 29, the 46th meeting of the Central Inspection Commission was held in Hanoi, chaired by Mr. Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Central Party Secretary, and Head of the Central Inspection Commission.

Dismissal of the Former General Director of Southern Food Corporation
A senior official of the Southern Food Corporation has been expelled from the Communist Party of Vietnam for violating the rules and regulations set for Party members. The official, who was the former General Director of the corporation, has been found guilty of breaching the Party’s code of conduct, which outlines the behaviors and actions that are prohibited for Party members. This decision underscores the Party’s commitment to upholding its values and ensuring that its members adhere to the highest standards of integrity and discipline.
The Great Shake-Up: Disciplinary Action Taken Against Officials Involved in the Dai Ninh Project
The Central Inspection Committee has named a string of officials involved in a case of violations at the Dai Ninh Urban Area project in Lam Dong Province and related localities and units. Among those named are Le Minh Khai and Doan Van Viet, who have been implicated in the case along with others.
