Dongtam Group has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding for investment and land lease in the Dong Nam Á Long An Industrial Park (invested by Dongtam Group) with Germany’s QuickPack Group. Specifically, QuickPack will lease 60,000 square meters of land to expand its factory scale, with a total investment of up to 30 million EUR (equivalent to 810 billion VND) for this project.
This is the largest food packaging manufacturing plant in Southeast Asia by QuickPack, located in Long An province, Vietnam. At the same time, this is not the first time QuickPack has had a presence in Vietnam.
It is known that QuickPack invested in Vietnam in 2017 with its first factory in Thuan Dao Industrial Park, Long An province. The group is also one of the largest FDI investors in the province. In the first year, QuickPack exported more than 50 TEUs, and by 2024, the export volume increased to over 2,000 TEUs. After 7 years of development, QuickPack has decided to continue expanding the project scale to 10ha in the Industrial Park, doubling the capacity of QuickPack in Vietnam.
The factory is expected to commence construction in 2025 and will be equipped with the most modern equipment in the world to produce premium products, with 100% exported to the European, North American, and Australian markets. The plan for 2025 is to export over 3,500 TEUs of goods to these key markets.
The revenue of the factories in Germany, Poland, and Vietnam in 2024 reached 500 million EUR (13,500 billion VND) and is expected to increase to 550 million EUR (nearly 15,000 billion VND) in 2025.
According to the government’s vision, Long An province’s strategy is to develop Can Giuoc district into an international transit center and a gateway for trade exchange.
This includes developing the Long An International Port, the Long An Economic Zone, the ring road and axis traffic system as growth drivers, and promoting a new economic model based on existing urban areas, a multi-sector industrial system, ports and port logistics, tourism, services, trade, and urban development while protecting the environment.
