Haus Da Lat: A Collaboration of Legendary Global Brands
Haus Da Lat is a project by The One Destination, a pioneer in developing ESG real estate in Vietnam. Spanning 5 hectares in the heart of Da Lat city, in front of Xuan Huong Lake, Haus Da Lat comprises luxury apartments, a commercial center, and a 5-star hotel operated by an international brand.
Following the announcement of investment from the BTS Bernina Fund and Terne Holdings Singapore, The One Destination revealed that Haus Da Lat is a pioneering project backed by four leading global brands: Kengo Kuma & Associates (KKAA) for architecture and landscape design; Isometrix Lighting & Design, illuminating icons worldwide; 1508 London, the spatial artist for billionaires; and Chiva-Som, a top health and wellness consultant.

Haus Da Lat – A Gathering of Global Legends
According to industry experts and investors, this collaboration marks a turning point in Vietnam’s real estate market. Haus Da Lat is the first project in Vietnam to attract multiple foreign partners, including funds, investors, and leading global design and operating brands. KKAA, Isometrix, 1508 London, and Chiva-Som are selective in their partnerships and project choices, ensuring that their involvement creates new “legacies” worldwide.
Collaborating to Create Vietnam’s Pioneering ESG Real Estate, a New Global Destination
Da Lat is renowned for its picturesque natural scenery, cool climate, and landmarks that have become national heritage sites. Kengo Kuma, a renowned contemporary Japanese architect and one of the 100 most influential people globally, according to Time magazine in 2021, chose Da Lat as the location for his next iconic project. Kuma is known for his emphasis on using traditional materials such as wood, bamboo, and paper in his architectural designs. Each of his iconic structures is a work of art that coexists with nature and stands the test of time.
Kengo Kuma and his team spent over five years visiting Da Lat to study and develop the design for this project. In the heart of the “city of a thousand pines,” Kuma’s vision for Haus Da Lat is to create the city’s largest “pine forest conservation” project, blurring the boundaries between architecture and the natural landscape.

KKAA draws design inspiration from pine cones
Kuma focused on the image of a pine cone, a part of the pine tree, to create a distinctive architectural icon. Through his subtle arrangement of natural materials, the project will challenge construction techniques and visual arts, resulting in a structure that resembles an art installation while promoting environmental awareness and sustainability for future generations.
To create a building that harmonizes with nature, Kengo Kuma collaborated with Isometrix, a globally renowned lighting design company responsible for illuminating iconic structures worldwide.
Isometrix designed Haus Da Lat’s lighting to blend with the natural environment, using lighting technology that flexibly adjusts light intensity and color based on the time of day and year, whether it’s a regular day or a special occasion.

Haus Da Lat utilizes natural, eco-friendly materials
1508 London, an ultra-luxury interior design firm behind iconic projects for billionaires, prestigious apartments, and hotels worldwide, chose Haus Da Lat as its pioneering project in Vietnam. What sets 1508 London apart is its ability to blend art, architecture, and personalized experiences to create exclusive spaces for the owners of Haus Da Lat’s apartments. 1508 London’s iconic projects are known for their premium prices, ranging from $106,000/m2 at Mayfair (UK) to $124,000/m2 at Mandarin Oriental (Los Angeles) and $161,000/m2 at The Peak (Hong Kong), among others.
“For Haus Da Lat, 1508 London will combine local inspirations and motifs to create spaces that tell a unique story for Da Lat, while also incorporating advanced materials from around the world to craft timeless art pieces tailored to each living space,” shared a 1508 London representative.

Haus Da Lat enhances the beauty of Da Lat
Haus Da Lat also benefits from the involvement of Chiva-Som, a renowned health and wellness brand, as a consultant. Chiva-Som is one of the few brands consistently recognized as The Best Destination Spa In The World, offering comprehensive wellness experiences through its team of experts. Their approach addresses mental and physical health, tailoring programs to individuals’ lifestyles, preferences, and health conditions, with the ultimate goal of improving quality of life and achieving sustainability in body, mind, and spirit.
“Together with these legends, The One Destination will bring a fresh perspective to Da Lat’s real estate, creating and preserving a ‘legacy’ worthy of this 130-year-old city’s diamond location,” shared a representative of the Haus Da Lat investor about their collaboration with leading global brands in the real estate industry.
