Following the investment from the BTS Bernina Fund and Terne Holdings Singapore, The One Destination announced that Haus Da Lat is the first project to bring together four leading global brands: Kengo Kuma & Associates (KKAA) for architecture and landscape design; Isometrix Lighting & Design, renowned for illuminating architectural icons worldwide; 1508 London, the spatial artists for billionaires; and Chiva-Som, a top health and wellness consultant.

According to industry experts and investors, this collaboration marks a turning point in Vietnam’s real estate market. For the first time, a Vietnamese project has attracted multiple foreign partners, including funds, investors, and leading global design and operating brands. KKAA, Isometrix, 1508 London, and Chiva-Som are known for their selective approach to projects, choosing only those that align with their values and have the potential to become new “heritage” sites worldwide.

Uniting to Create Vietnam’s First ESG Real Estate: A New Global Destination

Da Lat is renowned for its picturesque natural scenery, cool climate, and iconic landmarks. Kengo Kuma, a contemporary Japanese architect and one of the 100 most influential people in the world according to Times Magazine in 2021, chose Da Lat as the location for his next iconic project. Kuma is known for his emphasis on using traditional materials such as wood, bamboo, and paper in his architectural designs. Each of his creations is a work of art that coexists with nature and stands the test of time.

Kengo Kuma and his team spent over five years visiting Da Lat to study and develop the design for Haus Da Lat. In the heart of the “city of a thousand pines,” Kuma envisions Haus Da Lat as a project that will “preserve the pine forest” on a scale never seen before in the city, blurring the boundaries between architecture and the natural landscape.

Kuma focuses on the image of the pinecone, a part of the pine tree, to create a unique architectural symbol. Through his subtle arrangement of natural materials, the building will challenge conventional construction and visual art, resembling an art installation while promoting environmental awareness and sustainability for future generations.

To ensure the project harmonizes with nature, Kuma collaborates with Isometrix, a globally renowned lighting design company responsible for illuminating iconic structures worldwide.

Isometrix’s design for Haus Da Lat is inspired by the natural lighting of the environment, seamlessly blending the project into its surroundings. “Our lighting design will be discreetly integrated into the architecture to highlight its beauty. The lighting system will be programmed to dynamically adjust lighting and colors according to the time of day, season, and occasion, whether it’s a regular day or a special event,” revealed an Isometrix representative.

1508 London, a leading ultra-luxury interior design firm behind iconic projects for billionaires, prestigious apartments, and hotels worldwide, has chosen Haus Da Lat as its first project in Vietnam. What sets 1508 London apart is their ability to blend art, architecture, and personalized experiences to create exclusive spaces for the future residents of Haus Da Lat. Their iconic projects include prestigious addresses such as Mayfair in London (UK), Mandarin Oriental in Los Angeles, and The Peak in Hong Kong, with prices ranging from 106,000 USD/m2, 124,000 USD/m2, and 161,000 USD/m2, respectively.

“For Haus Da Lat, 1508 London will combine local inspirations and motifs with cutting-edge materials to create spaces that tell a unique story for Da Lat. We will also incorporate advanced technologies to craft timeless artistic pieces tailored to each living space,” shared a 1508 London representative.

Their approach focuses on mental and physical health, tailored to individuals’ lifestyles, preferences, and health conditions, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the quality of life and achieving sustainability in body, mind, and spirit.
