The stock market recovered on August 4th, with improved liquidity as it surpassed the psychological threshold of 1,500 points. The VN-INDEX closed 32.98 points (+2.21%) higher at 1,528.19. Against the backdrop of a vibrant VN-Index, foreign investors unexpectedly net sold a record-breaking 10.242 trillion VND across the market.

Securities companies’ proprietary trading net sold 296 billion VND on the HoSE.

Specifically, securities companies recorded the highest net selling in FPT, totaling 114 billion VND, followed by BSR and DGC with net selling values of 111 billion and 97 billion VND, respectively. Several other stocks witnessed notable net selling, including VPB (67 billion VND), VGC (39 billion VND), DCM (21 billion VND), and VHC (19 billion VND).

On the buying side, VHM witnessed the strongest net buying, amounting to 46 billion VND, followed by VNM (33 billion VND) and MWG (31 billion VND). Stocks such as MSN, STB, LPB, TCB, VRE, VJC, and SSI also experienced positive net buying activity.
