As of August 29, 2025, the total asset value converted at the stock price of the 20 richest people in the Vietnamese stock market reached VND 653,500 billion, an increase of VND 102,300 billion compared to the beginning of August.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup, continues to top the list with assets of VND 288,100 billion, an increase of VND 54,600 billion compared to August 1, equivalent to a 23% increase. Vingroup’s vice chairwomen, Pham Thu Huong (Mr. Vuong’s wife) and Pham Thu Hang (Ms. Huong’s sister) ranked 7th and 8th, respectively, with assets of VND 21,800 billion and VND 14,600 billion, both with a 23% increase.
The additional VND 54,600 billion in Mr. Vuong’s wealth since the beginning of the month is larger than the combined increase of the other 19 people on the ranking. Furthermore, since the beginning of the month, three people have seen a decrease in their assets: Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, with a 5% decrease (VND 600 billion), Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, CEO of Gelex, with a 3% decrease (VND 300 billion), and Mr. Bui Thanh Nhon, Chairman of Novaland, also with a 3% decrease (VND 300 billion).
Mr. Tran Dinh Long, Chairman of Hoa Phat (HPG), maintained his second position with VND 54,500 billion, a 9% increase from the beginning of the month. Ms. Vu Thi Hien, Mr. Long’s wife, ranked 9th with VND 14,500 billion.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairman of Vietjet Air, owns assets worth VND 33,600 billion, a 22% increase from the beginning of the month.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tai, Chairman of The Gioi Di Dong, also experienced an impressive 22% increase since the beginning of the month, bringing his assets to VND 14,500 billion.
In August, thanks to the strong performance of VPBank (VPB) shares, the wealth of individuals holding VPB also increased significantly.
The assets of Mr. Ngo Chi Dung, Chairman of VPBank, Ms. Hoang Anh Minh (Mr. Dung’s wife), and Ms. Vu Thi Quyen (Mr. Dung’s mother) all increased by 36% compared to the beginning of the month, with each individual’s wealth reaching around VND 11,400-11,500 billion. This was the most impressive increase on the ranking this month.
This week, the two children of Mr. Bui Hai Quan, Vice Chairman of VPBank, completed the purchase of 40 million VPB shares. Currently, Mr. Quan’s family holds VPB shares worth VND 16,900 billion.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dat, Chairman of Phat Dat (PDR), who currently holds VND 10,900 billion worth of shares, has just announced a plan to sell 88 million shares, valued at approximately VND 2,100 billion.
