The Ministry of Finance has issued a warning regarding a fraudulent Facebook page named “Ministry of Finance – Portal for Receiving Applications.” This page, verified with a blue checkmark, falsely claims to represent the Ministry and solicits personal information, transaction receipts, and a “fee” from victims of online scams. The Ministry emphasizes that this is a scam and urges citizens and businesses to remain vigilant.

Reports indicate that the page has been verified by Facebook and posts content urging individuals to provide personal details and transfer a fee to recover their lost funds. The Ministry of Finance confirms this is a fraudulent act and advises against following any instructions from this page to avoid further scams.

The Ministry urges citizens and businesses to be cautious of fake fan pages and websites impersonating the Ministry or its leaders for fraudulent purposes. Any suspicious activity should be reported immediately to the authorities. The Ministry is currently working with relevant agencies to investigate these fraudulent activities.

Over the past year, the Ministry of Finance has repeatedly warned about similar scams: on March 31, 2025, regarding the “Capital Recovery and Refund Processing Portal”; on April 15, 2025, about forged documents for fund recovery; on May 30, 2025, concerning fake seals and signatures of leaders; and on July 4, 2025, about a counterfeit Ministry of Finance e-portal spreading misinformation.
